User-Centered Design
... Designing the user interface to meet users' needs
User-centered design is a large topic with differing names, objectives, and end products. This title best describes the work I have done designing user interfaces for desktops and mobile devices. I base my work on user research, business requirements, and interactive design conventions documented in Readings.
My experience ranges from designing intranet pages with interactive features used by employees at a professional services firm, to website and mobile app applications designed in user-centered design and human-computer interaction design courses.

Website Redesign Proposal
This proposal, created as a final project for a user-centered design course, is based on user research conducted with an original website. Recommendations include restructuring the website to make it easier to navigate and high-value content easier to find.
Personas
These personas, created for a user-centered design course, represent users seeking higher education.
Mobile App Process Flow
This process flow, created for a user-centered design course, depicts the task flow of a mobile app used to track university admission status, and at the user's discretion, apply for admission.
Mobile App Prototype
This mobile app prototype, designed for users tracking their university admission status, implements the task flow above. It includes provision for applying for admission from the user's mobile device.
Balsamiq Wireframe for Mobile Device
This wireframe, based on research that I conducted for a cousera.org Human-Computer Interaction course, shows a mobile version of a job seeker application. See User Needs Assessment for a user research report culminating in this design.
